We believe in building connection through communities. Here are a few of the resilient communities that we have been fortunate to help build over the years.
first responder resiliency program, cedar hill, tx
The First Responder Resiliency Program was a resiliency program sponsored by a State of Texas grant that funded resiliency education, peer program development, and free counseling for first responders in 9 cities south of the DFW metroplex. The City of Cedar Hill managed the grant and allowed us to facilitate training, build community relationships and manage referrals for all 2500 participating firefighters, EMS, dispatch, and law enforcement officers. It was a true honor to be a part of this amazing community and we are so grateful for the ongoing relationships that continue today.
GRAND PRAIRIE POLICE DEPARTMENT, grand prairie, tx
We have been honored to work alongside Grand Prairie Police Department as they have built their resiliency program into a thriving culture of resiliency that truly impacts the wellbeing of their people. From the ground up, we have watched GPPD evolve their program to where they are now seeking a Wellness Facility that will have an impact on First Responder resiliency throughout the State of Texas, we have no doubt! It’s been a blessing to be a part of this team, they are truly leading the way in the metroplex!
impact first responders, lynchburg, va
Talk about powerful small-town teams, Impact First Responders is making an enormous difference not only in Lynchburg but in the State of Virginia as a whole! This partnership between Lynchburg First Responders and Impact First Responders (501c3) has been so exciting to be a part of! The peers and clinicians involved in this program are changing the face of responder resiliency in Virginia. We can’t wait to see where this goes in the future and we are so grateful to play a small part in their initiative!
department of public safety, dfw airport, texas
When we started with DFW Airport, they had very little resources and were looking for a path towards greater resiliency for their people. While we provided them with training and consultation, the most powerful path in their journey was when one of their own people stood up and told his story of suicidal ideation and the path that he has found through it. Since sharing that story TEN TIMES (!!!!) at the end of each of our workshops, DFW has since created a position for that first responder as the Peer Support Program Coordinator. The path towards a culture of resiliency resides within each individual being willing to share their story. DFW has realized that and capitalized on it to build a program that works for their people!
grapevine fire department, grapevine, texas
Man what an impressive and inspiring group of peers that make up the Grapevine Fire Department Peer Support Team! They have each traveled their own journies of resiliency and have a true passion for playing a positive role in furthering the journies of others. So much so that they submitted a grant to provide resiliency education, resources, and counseling for all Northeast Fire Department Association (NEFDA) first responders in 14 cities! They are currently awaiting the possible grant award from the State of Texas…hopfully more to follow!
